Putting You Behind The Camera

On Friday, Brian Palmer ran an afternoon photography workshop entitled “Lighting Experiments” in the Beck Instructional Lab as part of the 2007 Photography Marathon.  Like all of Brian’s workshops, Friday’s put the Washington College community behind the camera, allowing participants to practice shooting in a professional capacity.

2007 Photography Marathon - 7 Workshops Down, 10 to go!

Oni Buchanan Dazzles With Electronic Verse

Yesterday, Oni Buchanan gave an intimate reading of her innovative poems in the Rose O’Neill Literary House.  Oni discussed both digital and analog poetry, sharing examples of work she has created in both paradigms.

InDesign Training Notes: 10/17

Class went out yesterday with a flourish.  We learned more about clipping paths and then transitioned into learning about effects.  I was surprised to learn that InDesign CS3 has inherited many of the effects normally associated with Illustrator and Photoshop.  The ability to add blurs, drop shadows and the like was really interesting to me.  [...]
